Donnabelle Messana, 88, of Roosevelt Road, South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, June 8, surrounded by her family in Memorial Hospital.

Donnabelle was born November 4, 1916, in Chesterton, IN, to Jesse and Edna Pearl (Davis) Darby. Donnabelle retired from the Tupperware Warehouse.

Donnabelle is survived by her six children, Frank Zavor of Florida, Donna Hartman of South Bend, IN, Squeeze Gard of South Bend, IN, Michael Messana of Mishawaka, IN, Rosann McCann of Phoenix, AZ, and Diane Messana of South Bend, IN; two stepchildren, Tana Murphy of Florissant, Missouri, and John Messana of Las Vegas, NV; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Alma Rittenhouse of South Bend, IN.

Donnabelle was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Messana; and by a son, Ross Messana.

Donnabelle loved gardening and was always known for her smile.

There will be no visitation or funeral services.
