Eric Dwayne Metts

Feb. 2, 1968 - July 17, 1996

Eric Dwayne Metts, 28, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away July 17, in Atlanta, Ga., where he recently moved four months ago. Eric was born Feb. 2, 1968, in Charleston, S.C. He was preceded in death by his father James M. Metts and brother, Patrick Dewayne Metts.

Eric leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Mary Jackson and step-father Elroy Jackson of Osceola, Ind.; his life long love Cynthia Swoaks of Suwanee, Ga., formerly of Mishawaka; six sisters, Courtney LeBlanc of Misha-waka, Anita Metts of Brewer, Maine, Lisa Evans of San Antonio, Texas, Janet Jones and Monica Metts, both of Syracuse, N.Y., and Michelle Jackson of South Bend; six brothers, Kenneth and James Metts, both of Oxfordshire, England, Gary Metts of Houston, Texas, Charles Metts of Brewer, Maine, Sgt. Kevin Metts of Fort Drumm, N.Y., and James Metts Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y.; 38 nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Eric went to Saint Jude's Grade School in South Bend and Marian High School, Mishawaka. He was employed by Controlled Blasting and Drilling, Norcross, Ga.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Rev. Caesar Buwule of Queen of Peace Parish, Mishawaka, will officiate. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery, Elkhart.
