Both were dead on arrival at Holy Family Hospital.  Danielowicz, the driver, had a skull fracture and a broken left ankle.  Mrs. Metzner, who owned the car, had a crushed skull and chest and a broken neck, hip, and right arm.  Dean L. 30, of Galion, O., who was driving the tractor of a semi-trailer unit for Dallas & Mavis Forwarding Co., South Bend, escaped injury.

Truck Slightly Damaged.

The impact of the crash spun the car back 13 feet, the deputies said.  The truck continued along the berm past the car wreckage for another 130 feet before stopping.

The car was a total loss and the tractor received relatively slight damage to its front end, the deputies said.

Both bodies were taken from the hospital to the Haverstock Funeral Home in LaPorte.
