Clara T. Meuleman
Clara T. Meuleman, 88, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2006, in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Clara was born on April 28, 1918, in South Bend to Lawrence and Victoria Pioterek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Meuleman; her parents; a son, Kenneth; a grandchild; and by her siblings, Mary, Tony, Casimir, Louis, and Martha.
On January 28, 1939, Clara married Ray in Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Belgian), South Bend.
She is survived by a daughter, Melanie (Loren) Lenth of Luana, Iowa; three sons, Thomas Meuleman of Mishawaka, Dennis (Marsha) Meuleman and Roger (Jan) Meuleman, both of South Bend; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Clara was a member of Holy Family, Alter and Rosary Society of Holy Family, U.A.W. Local #9, YMCA, American Legion 357 Ladies Auxiliary, Grandmother's Club, Blue Army Prayer Group and of the Bendix Retiree's Club. She volunteered at the American Red Cross, and St. Joseph Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 30 in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church.
Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. South Bend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
