Angela A. Mezykowski

July 10, 1903 -- Dec. 27, 2004

Angela A. Mezykowski, 101, of South Bend, passed away at 3:35 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2004, in Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on July 10, 1903, in South Bend, to Boleslaus and Josephine (Siekerski) Grochowalski, who preceded her in death, along with a son, John Mezykowski, and twelve brothers and sisters. On September 16, 1924, in South Bend, Angela married John Mezykowski, who passed away on February 13, 1987. Surviving Angela are sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Delphine and Frank Mezykowski of South Bend; and brother-in-law, Casimer "Casey" Mezykowski of South Bend; along with many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Angela was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Apostleship of Prayer, Confraternity of Most Holy Rosary, St. Hedwig Society, St. Stanislaus Harvest House, and Holy Cross Harvest House. She retired in 1968 after 18 years of service from Notre Dame.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 30, 2004, from 2 to 7 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 31, 2004, at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus B & M Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Stanislaus B & M Church.
