SOUTH BEND - Mr. Rudolph V. ''Rudy'' Mezzei, 72, of Myrtle Road, a Corvilla Group Home, died suddenly on Monday, July 27, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind.

Rudolph was born on March 2, 1926, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Rudolph Donald and Anna Mary (Kuzmic) Mezzei. Survivors include four sisters: Flora Good of Hernando, Fla., Freda Wynne of South Bend, Ann Mount and Betty Jane Mezzei, both of Mishawaka; several nieces and nephews; as well as Mark A. Runnion of South Bend, a longtime friend and legal guardian since 1991.

Rudy was a well-liked and loving person who will be especially missed by Bob Sowers, Hubert Bates, Ron Coney, George Hansen and Tim Whitacre, his housemates at The Myrtle Home. Rudy attended Forrestbrook Missionary Church. He retired in 1987 from LOGAN Industries.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. (noon Michigan time) on Thursday in the First Missionary Church, 2325 E. U.S. 12, Niles, Mich. Friends may call one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
