Anna Veronica Miller

Anna Veronica Miller, 80, passed away on Saturday, March 8, in the Saint Joseph Care Center, South Bend, Ind. Anna was born on Sept. 11, 1922, in South Bend, to Stanley and Mary Lekarczyk, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Lekarczyk, Brownie Lekarczyk and Walter Lekarczyk; and by a sister, Helen Machalski.

 

On Sept. 14, 1940, Anna married Bennie J. Miller, who preceded her in death in January of this year. Anna is survived by two daughters, Janis (Frank) Booth of Granger, Ind., and Cynthia Nemeth of Morristown, Tenn.; three sons, Boyd (Sophia) Miller of Mishawka, Ind., Bruce Miller of South Bend and Gregory (Nancy) Miller of South Bend; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; her sister, Josephine Jankowski of South Bend; and by a brother, Frank Lekarczyk of South Bend.

 

Anna retired from Uniroyal, and was a member of the First Christian Church, South Bend. She was a great cook and loved to garden. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family.

 

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 10, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, in the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
