Clem Oscar Mochel

July 23, 1890 – June 27, 1965

MISHAWAKA - Clem O. Mochel, 74, of 64144 State Road, Woodland, died unexpectedly in his home Sunday at 10:45 p.m. He was born July 23, 1890 in Woodland and lived there all his life.

 

He married Amelia Schalliol in Madison Township July 13, 1920. She survives. He was a farmer and had taught school in Madison Township a number of years ago.  He was a member of St. John’s Church of Christ, Purdue University Alumni Association, The Farm Bureau, The American Legion of Wakarusa and a veteran of World War I. Also surviving are two sons, Richard of Woodland and Virgil of Wadsworth, Ohio, and a daughter, Mrs. Lester Berger of Woodland. Two sons, Evans and Robert, were killed in action in Germany during World War II.

 

Friends may call until Wednesday noon in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, then in the St. John’s United Church of Christ from 1 p.m. until services there at 2. Rev. Eugene Schupp, pastor, will officiate with burial in St. John’s Cemetery.
