MISHAWAKA - Guadalupe R. Montalvo,
86, of Bremen Highway, died about 8:50 a.m. Saturday in her home
of natural causes. Mrs. Montalvo was a self-employed seamstress
for 35 years. She was born Dec. 12, 1907, in Mexico and lived in
Mishawaka for six years, coming from El Paso, Texas.
In 1933, in El Paso, as Guadalupe Rangel,
she married Salvador Montalvo. He died Feb. 9, 1981. She is
survived by three sons, Salvador Montalvo Jr. of Homestead, Fla.,
Richardo Montalvo of Mishawaka, and Rudy Portio of San
Bruno, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday in Kaster,
Maxon & Fultrell Funeral Chapel, El Paso. Burial was in
Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, El Paso. Kaniewski Funeral Home
handled local arrangements.
