Agnes MonteSano, 87, of South West Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 8:44 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Mrs. MonteSano was born on Aug. 28, 1911, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of the late Joseph and Zelinda (Faenzi) Baldoni. She was a lifelong area resident.
On July 3, 1938, in LaPorte, Ind., as the former Agnes Baldoni, she married Nicholas MonteSano. Mrs. MonteSano is survived by her husband of 60 years, Nicholas; a brother, Louis Baldoni of Denver, Colo.; a nephew Dominic (Brenda) MonteSano of Kings City, Ontario, Canada; and by a niece, Angela Bellissimo of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, and enjoyed cooking and traveling as well as playing cards.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, June 10, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where wake prayers will be at 6 p.m. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Monte Sano may be made to St. Bavo's 2000, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
