Eli C. Moon, 90, of 410 Center, North Liberty, died at 8:10 a.m. Friday in the Walkerton Nursing Home after a long illness.

 

He was a retired employe of the Wabash Railroad Co.

 

Born Aug. 6, 1884, in Lakeville, he had been a lifetime resident of the area.

 

On Nov. 22, 1911, in Lakeville, he married Emma Pearl Jackson, who died in 1964. He is survived by two sons, Buril of Demming. N.M., and William of North Liberty; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Helen Strope of North Vernon, Ind., and a brother, Howard of North Liberty.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton, with Rev. Ralph Moore Jones, pastor of Tabor United Methodist Church, North Liberty, officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and until the time of services Monday in the funeral home.
