John S. Moore

            John S. Moore, age 61, of 115 Marquette Avenue, resident of South Bend for 20 years and freight traffic manager for the Chicago, South Shore & Northern Indiana Railway company, died this morning at 12:45 o’clock in his residence of a heart attack.  Mr. Moore had been ill about a year with heart trouble.

            He was born in Wayne County, Michigan, Sept. 7, 1865 and had lived in Lakeville, this county, where he was a merchant before coming to South Bend.  His marriage to Miss Blanche Robertson took place in Lakeville in 1896.

            Surviving Mr. Moore are his wife, and the following brothers and sisters: Alexander Moore, Lakeville; Mrs. Addie Forshee, Swartz Creek, Mich.; Mrs. Elizabeth Baird, Blenheim, Canada, and Edward P. Moore, Romulus, Mich.

            Funeral services will be held in the residence Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Mr. Moore was a member of South Bend Lodge, No. 294, F. & A. M.
