Frank Moraschi

Mishawaka - A resident of Mishawaka for 44 years, Frank Moraschi, 82, of 309 W. 10th St., died at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Hospital.  He had been ill for three weeks.

 

Mr. Moraschi was the father of city councilman Vincent Moraschi, (D) 2nd Dist.  Also surviving are another son, Louis Moraschi, of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Carbini, of Arlington, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Mr. Moraschi was born in Viustino Piacenza, Italy and came to this city from Chicago.  He married Miss Mary Molinari Feb. 9th, 1907 and she died in May 1958.

 

Mr. Moraschi owned and operated a grocery store at 307 W. 10th St., for many years.  He was a member of the De Amici Club and also was a member of the third order of St. Francis.  The body is at the DeVos Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Frank Moraschi, 82, of 309 W. 10th St., who died Wednesday night, will take place at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s Church.  Very Rev. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. 

 

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the De Vos Funeral Chapel and members of the Third Order of St. Francis will gather at 4 p.m. that day in the chapel to recite the rosary.

 

Pallbearers will be Joseph and Victor Vernasco, Frank Spalazzi, Vince Badagnani, Henry Ferrettie and Claude Palmer.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gaetano Fermi, Lodovico Villa, Eustachio Ferrettie, Frank Buda, Edmond Temmermen and Gino Elmo. 

 

Friends may call in the funeral chapel after 6 p.m. today.
