Angelo P. Moriconi

Mishawaka - Angelo Moriconi, 82, of 805 Alabama St., died at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of three years. Born in Alatri, Italy, on April 22, 1892, Mr. Moriconi had lived in Mishawaka for 65 years moving here from Italy.

 

On May 15, 1923, in Italy he married Oliva Gizzi. Mr. Moriconi was a 1957 retiree of Uniroyal Inc. Surviving are his wife, two nephews, Brother Eugene Gizzi of the Alexian Brothers, Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Emilio Gizzi of South Bend; a niece, Mrs Darrell Zellers of Mishawaka; a brother, Guiseppe Moriconi of Italy and two sisters, Mrs. Vingenza Del Uoma and Mrs. Louisetta Rossi, both of Italy.

 

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church with Msgr. Curt Suelzer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday at the DeVos Funeral Chapel, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

 

Mr. Moriconi was a member of the DeAmicis Club, Mishawaka American Legion Ost 161, Elkhart Barricks 750 of the Veterans of World War I and South Bend Aerie 435 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish and a veteran of World War I.
