Betty M. Mroczkiewicz

December 17, 1925 – October 2, 2007

 

NORTH LIBERTY – Betty Mroczkiewicz, 81, died in her home Tuesday night, October 2nd.

 

Betty was born in South Bend on December 17, 1925, to the late Ross and Verna (Shellenberger) Buss.  Her dear husband Albert preceded her in death on March 25, 2006.  A son, Mark Thomas, and twin grandchildren, Adam and Emily Gee, also preceded her in death.

 

Betty is survived by her brother, Robert Butts of South Bend; and by her two sisters, Barbara Armour of Elkhart and Ruth (Forrest) Puckett of Arlington TX.  On May 27, 1947, as Betty Butts, she married Albert Mroczkiewicz in Holy Family Catholic Church.  Left ot cherish her memory are their children, Veronica (Ed) Parry of Fox Island WA, Albert Jr of North Liberty, Catherine (David) Eggleston of New Carlisle, Michael (Teresa) of Everson WA, Tony (Jill) of South Bend, Carol (Ken) Wroblewski of New Carlisle, Matthew of North Liberty and Steve (Alison) of Attica IN; along with 14 grandchildren, Eric Parry, Amy Trdzinski, Harmony Mroczkiewicz, Molly Hammons, John Gee, Albert Mroczkiewicz, Paul and Victoria Wroblewski, Rachael, Emily, Jacob, Isaac, Hunter and Maggie Mroczkiewicz; and two great grandchildren, Beau Hammons and Samantha Gee.  Betty, Mom, Busia will be greatly missed by all who loved her.  Betty attended Ardmore Elementary and graduated in 1944 from Wilson High School of South Bend.

 

Betty’s funeral will be held at 11am Saturday in St Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, New Carlisle.  Friends may call from 4 to 8pm Friday in St Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be said at 5pm.  Contributions in memory of Betty may be made to St Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 55756 Tulip Road, New Carlisle.  Betty is now surrounded by those she loved who passed before her.  May God hold her in the palm of His hand.
