Dorothy Mroczkiewicz, 91, of New Carlisle, passed away at 10:50 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2006, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Dorothy was born May 19, 1914, in Crumstown, to Julius and Helen (Borlik) Grzesk. Her parents and a sister have preceded her in death. On June 29, 1940, Dorothy married Edward Mroczkiewicz in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Terre Coupe. Edward preceded her in death in July 1973.

Dorothy is survived by her cousin and caretaker, Patricia Nicholos; a godson, Thomas Borlik of Indianapolis; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy retired from Koontz-Wagner Electric in 1962. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Crumstown Conservation Club, Holy Family Harvest House and the Golden Cluster Club of St. Hedwig. She was a very active member in various organizations. Dorothy loved to play cards, was an avid reader and loved to travel. She enjoyed people and was an inspiration to all. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. MAYFLOWER, SOUTH BEND. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church or to the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
