SOUTH BEND - Rose Muia, 85, of South Bend, Ind., died at 6 a.m., Thursday, in her residence.

Rose was a homemaker. She was born on Dec. 11, 1910, in South Bend, to Melvin Kambol and Frances Parisi Kambol, who both preceded her in death.

 

On Dec. 22, 1927, in South Bend, as Rose Kambol, she married Joseph Muia. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1983. She is survived by three daughters, Dolores Sergio of Niles, Mich., Gloria Muia of St. Louis, Mo. and Patricia Druley of South Bend; two sons, Eugene Muia of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Joseph Muia of South Bend; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Nat Kambol of South Bend.

 

Three grandchildren, Sharon Muia Neff, Joseph Muia, III and Kara Muia, all preceded her in death.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4, at St. Matthew Cathedral. Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday. Rose was a long-time member of the rosary society and a member of the 13 Mrs. Club.
