Sister M. Coaina CSC, 94, of St. Mary’s Convent died there Thursday morning after an extended illness. She was born Mary Bernadette Mulligan on July 29, 1883 in Leadville, Colo. and entered the Songregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Sept. 8, 1903 coming from Leadville. She made her profession of vows on Dec. 8, 1905. Surviving is a sister, Sister Helen Rose CSC of St. Mary’s Convent. She taught in secondary schools in Logansport and in Illinois, Iowa, California, Idaho,Utah and Texas, and had resided at St. Mary’s Convent since 1965.

 

 

Services will be at 10a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call today and until services in the convent parlors where a wake service will be at 7:15 p.m. today.
