Sister M. Agatha Mulqueen CSC, 81, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died there Thursday morning. She was born Sept. 19, 1905 in Chicago as Helen Grace Mulqueen. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Jan. 1, 1924; was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1924, and professed her vows Aug. 15, 1926. She was assigned to teaching and served in elementary schools taught by the Sisters of Holy Cross. Her assignments included Logansport, East Chicago, Michigan City, Gary, Chicago, Woodstock, Ill, Evergreen, Ill., Davenport, Iowa, Flint, Mich., Baltimor, Washington DC, and Colusa, Calif. She lived at Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent from 1979 to 1984.

 

Friends may call Friday and Saturday at St. Mary’s Convent Parlor, where a wake service will be at 7 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
