Sister M. Dioneta CSC, of the Sisters of Holy Cross died at Saint Mary’s Convent at noon Monday. She was born Helena Murphy in County Lunerick, Ireland in 1885, and came to the United States in 1904 to enter the Sisters of the Holy Cross. She received the habit in 1905 and made her profession of final vows in 1910. During her community life she was stationed at Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio; St. John’s Hospital in Anderson, Ind.; and St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho. Prior to her retirement in 1960, she was stationed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Cairo, Ill. There are no immediate survivors.

 

The requiem high mass and burial are scheduled for Wednesday. Visitors will be received in the convent parlor.
