GRANGER - Daniel Patrick Myers, 27, of Granger, passed away at home on September 21 after a 13-month battle with cancer. Dan was born August 12, 1981, in South Bend, IN. Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Jane Myers of Granger; a brother, Josh Myers; and sister-in-law, Janine Myers; a brother, Chris Rodgers, and a sister, Sarah Myers, all of Mishawaka; a nephew, Xander Myers; grandparents, Harold and Kathryn Myers of Osceola, and Pauline Kelly of Crawfordsville. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Kelly. He was a graduate of Penn High School and worked as a cook in various restaurants in the area. Dan was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies. He loved animals. He especially loved being "Uncle Dan" and spending time with his nephew every Friday.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 6 to 8 PM in the McGann Hay Funeral Home, 13260 SR 23, Granger. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, Sept. 26, in New Salem United Methodist Church, 52173 Ash Road, Granger. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
