Charles J. Nagy, Sr.

Jan. 12, 1919-March 12, 1995

GRANGER - Charles Joseph ''Karl'' Nagy Sr., 76, of Hamilton Street, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Mr. Nagy retired from the Morris Inn, South Bend, as a chef. He was born Jan. 12, 1919, in Leechburg, Pa., and ived in Granger most of his life. On Nov. 24, 1945, in South Bend, he married Emma Radosevich. She survives with two daughters, Sharon DeWispelaere of Mishawaka and Mary Sherland of West Chester, Ohio; a son, Charles Jr. of Rochester, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Meyers of Buchanan and Mary Strom of South Bend; and a brother, Frank Vas of South Bend. He was a veteran of World War II and member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, where a wake will be at 4 p.m.
