Mrs. Rosalia Nagy

Mrs. Rosalia Nagy, age 55, 715 Indiana avenue, died at her home at 6:15 o’clock Tuesday evening following an illness of one week.  She was born in Hungary in 1867 and had been a resident of South Bend 12 years. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Vargo, in Hungary, and the following children:  Joseph, Louis, Paum, Mrs. Joseph Gerenzser, Mrs. John Papi, Mrs. Michael Baush, and Mrs. Anzel Fuzy, all of South Bend. Funeral services will be held from Our Lady of Hungary church Friday morning at 9 o’clock, Rev. Geza Gyorfi, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.

Note:  There are a lot of misspellings in the mortuary record, example “Anzel” is really Andrew, “Paum” is really Paul. Surnames are also misspelled.  In a 1920 census, Rosalia Nagy <widow> was living at 715 Indiana Ave. with her son, Paul (& his family) and her daughter Theresa (Mrs. Michael Danch & her family, spelled Baush in the obituary).
