26, 1919 - Jan. 24, 2010SOUTH BEND - Betty Name, 90, of Mishawaka, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, in the Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Bend. Betty was born on June 26, 1919, in Niles, MI, to Alex and Elizabeth (Doktor) Uyhelji. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Alex and Mike Uyhelji, and a sister, Helen Hutzell. On July 26, 1974, she married Wilburn Name, who preceded her in death in March 2002. Surviving are a stepson, Michael of Mishawaka; one granddaughter, Erica Name; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Hall; and two sisters, Julia Rokop and Susie Pecsi, both of South Bend; nieces, Linda Noetzel of Cassopolis, MI, Diane Rockwood of Dover, NJ, and Becky Holdons of Port Orchard, WA; nephews, Alex Uyhelji and Robert (Cheryl) Uyhelji, both of Granger; and several great-nieces and nephews. Betty worked for Uniroyal for 35 years before she retired in 1978. She was a lifetime area resident. She was a loving, caring person who always put family first. Betty enjoyed bowling, dancing and playing euchre. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 11 until the hour of the service at 1:00 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with the Rev. Erv Mize officiating.
