Wilburn E. Name, 86, of Alabama Street, Mishawaka , Ind., passed away Tuesday, March 5, in the Countryside Place Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Mishawaka.

Wilburn was born on May 14, 1915, in Kokomo, Ind., as the son of the late Eldred and Leora (Hunt) Name. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Charles Name.

On July 26, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nev., Wilburn married the former Betty Hartman, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Michael Name of Mishawaka; one granddaughter, Erica L. Name of Mishawaka; and by one sister, Marjorie Schutz of Nappanee, Ind.

Wilburn was a lifetime area resident. He worked as a machinist for Merrifield Metal Products for 16 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of Club #15, the Moose Lodge and VFW #360 of Mishawaka, American Legion #308, and was an associate member of the F.O.P.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 7th, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8th, in the Hahn Funeral Home, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind., with VFW Post #360 conducting military rites.
