Mr. Welcome B. Neblung, 80, of 4004 St. Andrew Circle, Mishawaka, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002 in his residence. He was born July 23, 1922 in Rolling Prairie, Indiana to Albert F. and Leota B. (Brown) Neblung. He has lived in the LaPorte-South Bend area all of his life.

 

Mr. Neblung was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. While serving he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant and received the Purple Heart. He worked as a printer, owning ABC Printing of South Bend, Indiana from 1969 until he retired in 1980.

 

On May 26, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana he married Jacqueline Carlson, who preceded in death August 5, 1993. Also preceding him in death were his parents. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Alan & Jean (Martin) Neblung, granddaughter, Brianna Neblung and grandson, Keenan Neblung, all of South Bend, Indiana, one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis & John Levendowski of LaPorte, Indiana.

 

The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. (CST). Friends may call at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, Indiana Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. (CST) and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. (CST) until the time of service. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Chiara House of South Bend, Indiana
