Anthony Nemeth

MISHAWAKA — Anthony Nemeth, 78, of Dragoon Trail, passed away at 11:25 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Nemeth retired from Dodge-Reliance where he was employed for 18 years. He had also been employed by the Studebaker Corporation for 22 years. Mr. Nemeth was a member of St. Bavo's Parish in Mishawaka and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360. Anthony also was a World War II Army veteran. Anthony was born on April 24, 1921, in South Bend, Ind., to Joseph and Elizabeth Nemeth, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Christine K. Popielski; a granddaughter, Angel Myers; and by two brothers, Louis Nemeth and Joseph Nemeth, Jr.

 

On April 24, 1948, in South Bend, he married Emma M. Buzolich, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Laura Myers of South Bend and Susan Nemeth of LaPorte, Ind.; three grandchildren, Keith A. Myers, Tim M. Nemeth and Andrew Popielski; and by a sister, Anna Sokolowski of South Bend.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, South Bend. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, South Bend, where a Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
