Maxine M. Nemeth

Maxine M. Nemeth, 84, of West Ireland Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away after an extended illness at 3:09 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Nemeth was born on May 14, 1916, in Hoopston, Ill., and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area.

 

On Nov. 29, 1974, in South Bend, she married Louis J. Nemeth, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Karen Archbambault of Chicago, Ill.; a son, Richard Szymczak of South Bend; and by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Nemeth retired in 1979 from the Torrington Corporation in South Bend after many years of service. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, 3001 W. Cleveland Road, South Bend.

Mrs. Nemeth's motto has always been: "There's always room for one more person in our life." We will miss you mother greatly. You were and always have been dear to your children and grandchildren.

 

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 24, in the HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the funeral home, with Pastor David Jenkins of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The family of Maxine M. Nemeth request that all memorial contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or to the Calvary Baptist Church.
