Elsie J. Nicolini

Feb. 16, 190 – Feb. 16, 1991

Mishawaka – Elsie J. Nicolini, 82, of Ninth Street, died in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Mrs. Nicolini was born Feb 16, 1909 in Stekene, Belgium. She came to the area in 1914 from Belgium. On Aug. 30, 1928 in St. Bavo’s Church as Elsie J. Buyle she married Virgil Nicolini. He died June 4, 1981. Surviving are two daughters, Dolores Van Hove and Doris Olivia, both of Mishawaka; a son, Joseph A. of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nicolini was a member of the church, its Altar Society and the BK Club Auxiliary.

Friend may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hahn-DeVos funeral home where arrangements are being completed. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bavo’s renovation fund.

Services for Elsie J. Nicolini, 82, of Ninth Street, who died at 2:55 p.m. in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, will be at noon Tuesday at St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Friend may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Hahn-DeVos Funeral Home, where a wake service will be at 3 p.m. today and a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today.
