Clementine M. Niedbalski

March 27, 1911 - Jan. 3, 1999

SOUTH BEND - Clementine M. ''Clemy'' Niedbalski, 87, of the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, and formerly of Carlisle Street in South Bend, Ind., died at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, in the care facility.

Mrs. Niedbalski was born to Joseph and Mary (Grzaziela) Klosowski on March 27, 1911, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident.

On Aug. 23, 1932, as Clementine M. Klosowski, she married Clement W. Niedbalski, who passed away on July 19, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leroy Niedbalski; six sisters, Tillie Burzynski, Sophie Somers, Stella Kazmierczak, Wanda Roytek, Pearl Vrient and Alice Klosowski; and by three bothers, Walter, Michael and Stanley Klosowski.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald L. (Kathy) Niedbalski of South Bend and Dale A. (Linda) Niedbalski of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren, Debra, Michael, Jason and Jeffrey Niedbalski, all of South Bend; a sister, Theresa Witkowski of New Carlisle, Ind.; and by a sister-in-law, Hildegarde Barczykowski of Mishawaka, Ind.

Mrs. Niedbalski belonged to Corpus Christi Parish and was a former member of St. Adalbert's Parish.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with Reverend Joseph A. Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Polish Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.
