Sister Mary Gilberta CSC, 46, died of an apparent heart attack Sunday in the Holy Cross Convent at Notre Dame, where she had been on duty at the Iniversary Infirmary. She was born in Gary on Aug. 20, 1916, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bland Nieukirk. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1946 and received the habit the same year. She made hger final vows onn Aug. 15, 1951. During her community life she had Also served in Jacksonville, Ill., Cairo, Ill, and St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend.s
