Virginia G. Noble, 76, formerly of South Bend, Ind., died Sunday, Aug. 4, at the St. Mary Community Hospital, South Bend. She had recently been a resident at Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, Ind.

She was born June 6, 1920 in East Chicago, Ind. and moved from Hammond, Ind. to South Bend in 1943. In 1938 as Virginia G. Pasternak, she married Kenneth S. Noble in Hammond. Mr. Noble died May 26, 1959.

She is survived by a son, Ronald K. Noble of South Bend; two brothers, Fred Pasternak of Dyer, Ind. and William Pasternak of Hammond, Ind.; a foster daughter, Beverly Burdick Rogers of Walkerton, Ind.; and a foster grandson, Jeffrey Burdick, also of Walkerton.

She was a member of the Polish National Catholic Church on West Sample Street (in which she was very active), as well as a member of the church choir, and the women's society. She was also a member of the Oliver School Parent Teacher Association and the Riley High School P.T.A.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 8, in the Polish National Catholic Church in South Bend, Ind., and burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
