Jay Noell

Jay "Al" Noell, 75, of Mason Street, Niles, Mich., died of a heart attack near his winter residence of Gautier, Miss., on Friday, Dec. 15. Born on May 20, 1925, in Madison, Ind., he graduated from Central High School, South Bend, Ind. He was a retired truck driver, and a World War II Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Niles. He is survived by his wife, Linda L. of Niles; their daughter, Debra Noell and son-in-law, David Cordray of Columbia City, Ind.; a son, Ray (Donna) Noell of Buffalo, N.Y.; two daughters, Dyan (David) Rhodes of Mishawaka, Ind., and Linda (Arnold) K. Norman of Lakeville, Ind.; two brothers, Jesse of South Bend and Don of Buffalo; a sister, Sara Nighbert of Plainfield, Ind.; and by six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Noell; and by two sisters.

 

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend, where friends may call one hour before services. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery.
