Shannon Nolen, 87, of 22794 Osborne, Lakeville, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, in the Cardinal Nursing Home after a month's illness.

 

He had retired from the Studebaker Corp., where he worked for 39 years.

 

He was born on July 2, 1891, in Lakeville and had lived all his life in the area.

 

On April 3, 1915, in South Bend, he married Ermyle Jackson, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Walters of Lakeville; two sons, Dwight of South Bend and Forrest of Pueblo West, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Maude Donathen of Bremen, Mrs. Gertrude Tumbleson and Mrs. Ethel Schafer, both of Lakeville, and Mrs. Margaret Finch of Oklahoma.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Olive Branch United Brethren in Christ Church, Osborne Road W., Lakeville, with Rev. Steven L. Stanage, assistant pastor, officiating.

 

Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Palmer Memorial Chapel, Lakeville, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
