Casimir “Buck” Novak, 80, 2114 Buffalo St., died at his home at 5 this morning (Jan. 31, 1978). Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church with the Rev. Stanley Dominik officiating. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Root Funeral Home, where friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday until the service. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Mr. Novak, a resident here for 70 years, was born Feb. 4, 1897, in Poland, the son of Michael and Mary (Nowaczyk) Novak. He was a retired laborer from Allis Chalmers. On Sept. 15, 1951, he was married here to Lottie Layman Kucharski, who died June 25, 1971. Survivors include two step-sons, Jerome and Eugene Kucharski, and a sister, Mrs. Walter (Harriet) Tylisz, all of this city. Mr. Novak was a World War I Army veteran and was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and Skwiat American Legion Post. The post will have a memorial service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday and will conduct full military rites at the graveside.
