Frank X. Nowacki

April 12, 1894 - August 15, 1963

 

Frank X. Nowacki, 69, of Rt 2, Chicago Rd, New Carlisle, died at 3pm Thursday in St Joseph's Hospital after an illness of one day.  He was a retired tavern owner.

 

Born on April 12, 1894, in South Bend, he married Anna Hes on October 23, 1917, in St Casimir's Church.  She survives.  Also surviving are two sons, Frank Jr., at home, and Robert F., New Carlisle, a daughter, Mrs. Vincent Harrell of South Bend; three brothers, Sylvester, Alex and Casimir, all of South Bend; a sister, Mrs Stella Schultz of Zephyr Hill FL; seven grandchildren and a great grandchild.

 

Friends may call after 7pm Saturday at the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.  Services will be at 9am Monday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Henry Smartz, pastor of St John Canty Church, Rolling Prairie, officiating.  Rev. Smartz will be assisted by Rev. Sigmund A. Jankowski, CSC, pastor of St Stanislaus and Rev. Bernard Niemier, CSC, pastor of St Casimir's Catholic Church and a nephew of Mr. Nowacki.  He was a veteran of WW I, a lifetime member the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 6, a member of the Holy Name Society of St John Canty Church.

Funeral Notes

Pallbearers at services for Frank X. Nowacki,  69, Rt 2, Chicago Rd, New Carlisle, who died Thursday, will be Chester & Leonard Jaworski, Stanley & Frank Hes, Irvin Kuczmanski and Irvin Nowacki.

 

Services will be at 9am Monday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church.  The Holy Name Society of ST John Cante Church, Rolling Prairie will recite the rosary at 8pm today at the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Chapel.
