Mrs. Frances S. Nowicki: (South Bend Tribune 8/15/1968)

Mrs. Frances S. Nowicki, 64, of 1245 VanBuren St., died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a one-week illness. She was born Oct. 15, 1903, in South Bend. She was married June 20, 1921, at South Bend to Valentine Nowicki who died Aug. 29, 1950. Surviving are two sons, Valentine W. and Marvin R. both of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Howard O. Carr of South Bend, and Mrs. Frank VanDeVeire of Edwardsburg; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edward Chavis of South Bend. Friends may call from 7 to 9:30 p.m. today, and from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Rev. William J. Neidhart C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Mrs. Nowicki was a member of the Grandmother’s Club. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
