Mrs. Marcyanna Nowicki: (South Bend Tribune 2/25/1952)


Mrs. Marcyanna Nowicki, 1345 West Fisher street, died at 5:32 a.m. today in her home. Born in Poland Sept. 11, 1872, she lived in South Bend 50 years, coming here from that country. Her husband, Joseph, died Feb. 22, 1947. Surviving are four daughters, Miss Leona, at home; Mrs. Margaret Hudak and Mrs. Genevieve Piechocki, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Kinga Kosinski, Crumstown, this county; three sons, Modest, at home; John and Hilary, both of South Bend; four sisters, Miss Alice Wlodarek, Mrs. Josephine Hudak, Mrs. Pauline Kowalski and Mrs. Rose Cwiklinski, all of South Bend, and a brother, Frank Wlodarek, St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in St. Joseph funeral chapel. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Casimir’s Catholic church with Rev. Casimir J. Witucki, C.S.C., pastor, chanting the requiem high mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Polish cemetery. Mrs. Nowicki was a member of the Women’s Holy Rosary society, St. Anne’s society No. 129, Polish Women’s alliance, and the Society of Perpetual Adoration, all of St. Casimir’s parish.
