Martha J. Nowicki: (South Bend Tribune 10/21/1987)

Martha J. Nowicki, 71, of 2518 W. Linden Ave., died at 7 a.m. today in St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Mrs. Nowicki was born June 23, 1916, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On Aug. 4, 1937, as Martha Zielinski, she married Alex Nowicki, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Winkel of South Bend; a son, Gene of South Bend; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Janiak of South Bend and Ann Janiak of Chicago. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Resurrection Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Nowicki was a member of the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary of the church.
