SOUTH BEND - William F. Nucci, 78, of Fort Wayne, formerly of South Bend, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Mr. Nucci was an industrial engineer for Fairbanks-Morse Co. for 30 years. He was born June 21, 1915 in South Bend.
He married Betty Smith. She died in 1993. Surviving are two sons, William H. of Avilla, and James S. of Fort Wayne; a sister, Irma Schultz of Tucson, Ariz.; and a brother, Fred of South Bend. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Soup Kitchen or Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, Chicago
