Doris D. Nugent, 82, residing on
Sylvan Glen Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 2 a.m. on
Wednesday, Nov. 15, in her residence. She was born on April 17,
1918, in Auburn, Mass., to the late Clarence W. and Evalena (Semon)
Dewsbury, and had lived in this community since 1954,
coming from Massachusetts. On Jan. 4, 1944, in San Diego, Calif.,
she married Edward F. Nugent, who survives. She is also survived
by a daughter, Joan Sullivan of Wheaton, Ill.; two
grandchildren, Edward Nugent Sullivan and Madeleine Sullivan; a
sister, Thelma McGregor of Vermillion, N.D.; and by three
brothers, C. Edward Dewsbury, Robert F. Dewsbury, both of Auburn,
Mass., and Raymond W. Dewsbury of Mashpee, Mass. Mrs. Nugent was
a member of the First Presbyterian Church, South Bend, and the
Hearing and Speech Auxiliary of St. Joseph County.
There will be no services or visitation. The Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka, Avenue, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements. Contributions in memory of Doris D. Nugent may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 333 W. Colfax, South Bend, IN 46601.
