Sybil Jacqueline Oakley

OSCEOLA - Sybil Jacqueline (Eby) Oakley, 85, of Osceola, died in Caring Junction on July 3, 2008. She was born in South Bend on October 24, 1922, to Raymond W. and Athel L. (Timbers) Eby. Sybil married Floyd J. Oakley in Mishawaka on September 25, 1940. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother, Ronald L. Eby. Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Bob) Kintner of Mishawaka; a son, Donald (Jackie) Oakley of Three Rivers; four grandchildren, Doug, Jill, Lori and Brent; and seven great-grandchildren, Bob, Derek, Alex, Sam, Ross, Max and Morgan. She had formerly attended Osceola Grace Brethren Church, was a past presiding officer of Osceola Eastern Star and the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Mishawaka. The family wishes to thank Southern Care Hospice and a special thanks to Risa, Kim and Cierra of Caring Junction for their loving care.

 

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, July 7th, in Bubb Funeral Chapel from 1 p.m. until funeral services at 2 p.m., with Rev. Davy Troxel officiating. Burial will follow at Osceola Cemetery.
