Brother Robert R. O’Brien CSC, 88, former curator and manager of Washington Hall at the University of Notre Dame, died Sunday night in Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, after an extended illness. He was born on May 29, 1885 in Pittsburgh, and entered the Holy Cross Community at Notre Dame in 1933. In August 1938 he made his final profession at Notre Dame, and after completing a five year assignment at St. Joseph Novitiate, Rolling Prairie, Ind., he served at Notre Dame in Washington and Corby Halls, retiring from active service in 1965

 

A wake service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Moreau Seminary, at the University of Notre Dame, where a funeral mass will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the community cemetery at Notre Dame.
