Colin O'Brien

SOUTH BEND - Colin O'Brien, 8, of Pine Hollow Lane, died at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Colin was a second-grade student at Corpus Christi School. He was born Oct. 19, 1987, in South Bend. He is survived by his parents, Vicki and Terry O'Brien at home; two sisters, Janelle and Maggie, both at home; maternal grandparents, Darlene and Arden Floran of South Bend; paternal grandparents, Barbara and William O'Brien of South Bend; maternal great-grandmother, Grace Geraghty of Mishawaka; and a maternal great-great-grandmother, Theresa Geraghty of South Bend. He was a member of Chet Waggoner Little League and Pop Warner Football League.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a prayer service will be at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
