Sister M. Agnes Enginie O’Brien CSC, 83, of St. Mary’s Convent, died Sunday morning in her residence. She was born Sept. 13, 1909, in Kansas City Mo. as Mary Viola O’Brien. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross July 6, 1929, coming from Los Angeles. She was receivied as a novice Jan. 6, 1930, and professed her vows Jan. 6, 1932. She was assigned as a mathematics teacher at secondary schools in California and Salt Lake City for 23 years. In 1973 she was assigned to Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent where she served as chauffeur for the sisters until 1980, when she retired to the convent.

 

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Regina Hall Chapel at St. Mary’s with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
