Sister Mary Diminica CSC, 85, of St. Mary’s Convent, died Thursday evening in the convent. She was born Feb. 2, 1890 in Davenport, Iowa, and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on July 16, 1913. She was received as a novice on July 16, 1913 and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1915. She was assigned to teaching music at schools in East Chicago and Valparaiso; and in Chicago, Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Iowa. She came to St. Mary’s Convent in 1972, after having been at Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent since 1962.

 

Friends may call until services at the convent parlors, where a wake will be at 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, both on the St. Mary’s College campus.
