Teresa L. Oneal

PLYMOUTH - Teresa L. ''Terri' Oneal, 45, of 10155 Victoria Drive, Plymouth, Ind., died unexpectedly in her home of natural causes on Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at 6:35 a.m.

Born in Indianapolis, Ind., on Feb. 5, 1954, the daughter of Richard E. and Dorothy H. (Brune) Kuhns. Terri, a former resident of Fountaintown, Ind., had resided in Plymouth since December 1991, coming from Evansville, Ind., with her husband, Larry A. Oneal, whom she married on April 30, 1977, in New Palestine, Ind.

Terri was a graduate of Morristown High School in 1972. In 1976, she graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Science. She then received her certificate from Deaconess Hospital School of Medical Technology in 1977 at Evansville, Ind. A member of the Dean's List, Terri was currently enrolled in her senior year at Indiana University, South Bend, working toward her teaching certificate in secondary education. She was to begin student teaching in her beloved field of science at Plymouth High School in the spring of 2000.

Active in her career, she was a former lab employee of Holy Cross Parkview Hospital of Plymouth from 1991 to 1995. Terri served as a medical technologist in hematology, with a specialty registration in blood banking. She was a part-time employee of the Plymouth J.C. Penney store, and a substitute teacher for the past two years with the Plymouth Community School System.

A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Terri continued her education so that she could share her knowledge with children. She loved to shop, read and nurture her flower garden. Terri held a special fondness for animals.

Terri was a member of the United Methodist Church and attended Trinity United Methodist of Plymouth. Professionally she held membership in A.S.C.P., the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Surviving with her husband, Larry, is her beloved son, Travis Jeffrey ''T.J.'' Oneal, an 8th grade student at Lincoln Junior High; her parents, Richard and Dorothy Kuhns of Greenfield, Ind.; along with two sisters, Sandy (Mrs. Dale) Walker of Fountaintown, Ind., and Nancy Jo (Mrs.Don) Hilliker of New Palestine, Ind.; two nieces and two nephews; her father-in-law, Donald Oneal, and mother-in-law, Evelyn Oneal, both of Shelbyville, survive as well. Terri was preceded in death by an infant sister, Cristine Ann Kuhns.

Plymouth friends are invited to visit with her family in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 4 to 8 pm.

Visitation will continue on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 W. U.S. Highway 40, Greenfield, Ind. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m. by Rev. Paul Perry of the New Palestine United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the New Palestine Cemetery, New Palestine, Ind.
