6, 1945 - April 1, 2010SOUTH BEND - Mr. Warren Calvin "W.C." O'Neal Sr., 64, of South Bend, Ind., passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2010, in his home. Warren Calvin O'Neal Sr. was born on April 6, 1945, in Kingston, MS, to the late Julius and Lillie Mae Harris O'Neal. He departed this life on April 1, 2010, in South Bend, Ind. He worked with the O'Neal Excavation Company for a number of years and was a member of the Local 150 - International Union of Operating Engineers. He retired in 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 45 years, Viola Birdie O'Neal; four brothers, James, Edward, Julius Jr. and Earl O'Neal; two sisters, Jean O'Neal Walker and Mildred O'Neal. He leaves to mourn his passing three children, two sons, Warren Calvin and (Mandie) O'Neal Jr. of South Bend, Ind., Brian Alexander and (Lisa) O'Neal of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter, Tonette O'Neal of Alanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Warren Calvin O'Neal III, Sarah O'Neal and Ambir O'Neal of South Bend, Ind., Lhondon Alexandria O'Neal and Brison Alexander O'Neal of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, William T. O'Neal of Natchez, MS; three sisters, Arzora O'Neal of Brooklyn, NY, Beatrice O'Neal King of Natchez, Ernestine and (Phillip) Mosby of Jackson, MS; four sisters-in-law, Evelyn Green O'Neal, Audrey (Willie) Williams, Velma Harris, all of South Bend, Ind., and Betty Birdie of Natchez, MS; 27 nieces and nephews; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Warren Calvin O'Neal Sr. touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. Services for Mr. O'Neal will be Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 N. Adams St., South Bend, IN. Visitation 11:00 a.m, and funeral service 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
