Emma O’Neill

South Bend – Mrs. Emma O’Neill, age 42, wife of James J. O’Neill, manager of the children’s department of the Livington store, died in her home, 829 E. Miner Street, at 9 o’clock Sunday evening. She had been ill 12 years. She was born in Dowagiac, Mich., Dec. 12, 1889, and came her seven years ago from Dayton, O.

 

She was married in 1913 in Dowagiac to Mr. O’Neill, who survives. She leaves also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Born, Dowagiac; three daughters, Ruth, Margaret and Dorothy, at home; three sons, Donald, Charles and Richard, all at home; two brothers, August and William Born, Dowagiac, and a sister, Miss Bertha Born, also of Dowagiac.

 

She was a  member of the Altar Society of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. The body will lie in the residence and funeral rites will take place at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning from St. Joseph Church. Rev. J.J. O’Rourke, CSC, pastor will read the mass and burial will be in Dowagiac.
