Alice M. Opaczewski, 75, passed away in the care of ''Angels'' at Hospice House on Sept. 11, 1999.

She was the daughter or Peter and Helena Robakowski, who preceded her in death, along with all of her brothers.

On Aug. 25, 1945, she married Walter D. Opaczewski, who also preceded her in death. She was not only mother, but ''best friend'' to her two surviving daughters, Sandra Opaczewski and Judith Story, both of South Bend, Ind.

There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, in the St. Adalbert Catholic Church. The St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers please, may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
